J.A.R.V.I.S. is a free, non-commercial, open-source hobby project. It is not made, approved, endorsed or sponsored by Marvel, Disney, or anyone connected with the Iron Man films or comics. It is not an official product of any of them.

About the name

The name J.A.R.V.I.S. (“Just A Rather Very Intelligent System”) comes from Marvel's Iron Man stories. It is used here only as a tribute, to describe what the project is inspired by. Iron Man, J.A.R.V.I.S., Marvel and related names, characters and logos are trademarks or copyrights of their respective owners, including Marvel Characters, Inc. and The Walt Disney Company. We claim no rights in them.

JARVIS contains no footage, images, sound or voice recordings from any film, show or comic. Its screens, code and design are original work made for this project.

Claude, Anthropic and other brands

Claude and Claude Code are products of Anthropic, PBC. ElevenLabs is a product of ElevenLabs, Inc. This project is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by either company. Their names appear only to say which services JARVIS works with.

JARVIS does not include a Claude account. You sign in with your own subscription, and your use of Claude is covered by Anthropic's terms and billed by Anthropic. The same goes for an optional ElevenLabs key and ElevenLabs' terms. All other product names belong to their owners.

No warranty

JARVIS is provided “as is”, under the MIT license, with no promises of any kind. It may make mistakes, and what an AI says can be wrong. To the fullest extent the law allows, the author is not responsible for any loss or damage from using it. Please read the full license.

You stay in control

By default JARVIS can look and answer, but it cannot change anything on your computer. If you turn on Let JARVIS take real actions, it can run commands and change files. You are responsible for what you approve, so read each approval before you accept it.

Your data

Your settings, keys and memories are stored on your own computer. They are not sent to this website. What you say to JARVIS is sent to the services you connect (for example Claude, and ElevenLabs if you add a key), under their own privacy terms.
