Add a better voice with ElevenLabs

ElevenLabs makes JARVIS sound like a real person. A “key” is a long password that lets JARVIS use your ElevenLabs account.

Step 1: Create an ElevenLabs account
Open the ElevenLabs website, click Sign up, and make a free account.

Step 2: Open Profile, then API Keys
Click your profile picture or name (bottom left, or top right). Choose Profile, then API Keys.

Good to know
ElevenLabs sometimes moves buttons around. If you cannot find API Keys, look for the word “key” in their menus.
Step 3: Create a key
Click Create API Key. Give it a name you will recognise, such as JARVIS. Click Create.

Step 4: Copy the key
The key is a long row of letters and numbers. Click the Copy button next to it. ElevenLabs may only show it once, so copy it now.

Never share this key
Anyone with your key can use your account. Never email it, send it in a chat, or post it anywhere public. If it leaks, delete it on the same API Keys page and make a new one.
Step 5: Paste it into JARVIS
Open JARVIS, then click Settings. Choose Voice. Click in the ElevenLabs key box and paste with Ctrl + V. Click Test key, then Save.
JARVIS → SETTINGS → Voice.
Tip
Test key says right away whether the key works. If not, copy it again from ElevenLabs. Make sure no spaces are copied at the start or end.
